My Tour of Vegas Poker Rooms (February 2009)
Posted by DrunkBlonde | February 14, 2009 | Posted in: Poker Tips | Comments (0)I just returned from a trip to Vegas (did anyone miss me around here?) where I made it my mission to visit as many poker rooms as possible. I ended up booking a profit overall – not bad since I didn’t have the time to stay in the games that were most profitable for me.
Here are a few of my observations. Your experience and opinions may very well differ from mine.
Best cocktail service: Mirage (good cocktail service rates very high in my book!)
Nicest poker room: Hard Rock
Toughest players: Binions (and Golden Nugget — don’t go downtown thinking you’ll find good fishing)
Easiest players: Planet Hollywood (I think this would have been very profitable for long term play)
Friendliest dealers: Ballys
Friendliest players: Venetian
Crankiest players: El Cortez
Largest poker room: Caesar’s Palace
Smallest poker room: OSheas
Nicest tables: Treasure Island
Best locals poker room: Red Rock
